- I attempted my own purikura ...and failed miserably (-///-) BUT it's the only one you'll see so be grateful X3
I cosplayed as Mei-Mei from Shirokuma Café , but the year before I was just Panda-kun X3 I RECYCLED! Honestly I had such an amazing time making people smile, laugh, and dance as a panda that I think I'll just be this from now on for Metrcon. There are other cons anyway~
Some details about the costume:
-Okay, considering Metrocon is in Tampa, FL in 90+ degree weather, it was VERY HOT JUST WALKING FROM THE HOTEL TO THE CONVENTION CENTER! ꒰✘Д✘◍꒱ UGH. And even inside it was ridiculously hot from everyone's freaking body heat! (ew) But I had plenty of water to drink, and I had a portable, battery powered fan that hung around my neck under my costume. The neck is exposed a little so I can have some air.
-The Head is detachable from the body, and the jaw is a separate piece also. I used an old Werewolf-mask tutorial from Youtube as a base so I could have a movable jaw, and during the Masquerade I could move the head open at will to cool off.
-The hands are detachable, and the feet were foot covers over my tennis shoes. I highly recommend foot covers, if not slippers for a full fursuit costume.
-I have VERY LIMITED sight in my mask, and they do not fit over glasses. I can mostly see out of my left eye, so I was probably crooked headed for the Con X3 It's not bad, you just have to watch where you're going...which is no big deal because people immediately forgive a big panda~! (Good people)

Yes so I danced with a lot of really nice (some were really cute~) people, and I had a blast. I'll definitely return next year; be sure to bring the hugs and music and food!
